Dr. h. c. Burkhard Corves is institute director of the Institute of Mechanism Theory, Machine Dynamics and Robotics since 2000. He is teaching Machine Dynamics at RWTH Aachen University for 18 years and within his scientific career, he published over 300 papers and was chair of different conferences such as the EuCoMeS 2018 held in Aachen. During his industrial carrier, he developed and analyzed several machines regarding their dynamic behavior.
