Vytautas Ostasevicius studied Mechanical engineering at Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), Lithuania. In 1974 obtained doctoral and in 1988 doctor habilitus degrees in mechanical systems dynamics. Since 1991 he is professor at KTU. The focus of his research work in various research and industrial projects is on the areas of macro and microsystems dynamics, materials cutting, energy harvesting, technological processes monitoring. His International and National projects aim for the development and implementation of methods and tools for the self-powering, wireless technological processes data transmission for cloud manufacturing. Currently, he is director of the KTU Institute of Mechatronics, Chairman of IFToMM Lithuanian National committee, member of Lithuanian and Royal Swedish academies.
